The Konkan Muslim Education Society of Thane District was established in 1927 and is rendering its services in the field of Education for more than 80 years. Currently, the K.M.E. Society is running 2 primary schools, 8 Secondary schools, one Residential school at Bordi, one technical training institute, 3 Junior colleges, a multi-faculty college for women affiliated to the university of Mumbai with B.A., B.Sc.,B.Com., B.Sc. I.T., B.M.S.,M.A.,M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes and a College of Education (B.Ed. course). The main objective of the K.M.E. Society is to make available the educational facilities among the populace of Bhiwandi. The efforts of the members of the K.M.E. Society are appreciated by one and all, thus ensuring continual improvement of all its institutions. The selfless services of the Office Bearers have served as an inspiration to many such organizations in the District. To keep pace with the changing methods in the Teaching-Learning process, all the Institutions of the K.M.E. Society have incorporated modern technology to ensure academic excellence. The Members of the Society are constantly striving to ensure that all its Institutions maintain their standards and spread the light of knowledge amidst the people of entire Thane District.

For almost 8 decades, the society has developed with a spirit and vision. Today it stands as a “citadel of learning” and a harbinger of ‘Quality Consciousness’ Committed to developing the minds and initiative of Children. The vitality of the classrooms, the energy of the playing fields and the open friendliness of the work environment, have enabled its students to reach their fullest potential whether it is securing distinctions in the Board Examinations or winning accolades in debates, quizzes, elocution or sporting activities.
